 Welcome to the web site of CARAD

Since January 2000 CARAD has has assisted more than 4000 refugees and asylum seekers in Perth, Western Australia. We have provided accomodation, financial aid, English tutoring, friendship, furniture, Homework support and a host of other services to people with Temporary Protection Visas or Bridging Visas.

Without CARAD’s support these people would otherwise have no means of supporting themselves. We congratulate the Rudd government on their recent decision to end the Temporary Protection Visa. There is still work to be done - many asylum seekers living in the community rely on CARAD for their weekly living allowance,  and CARD volunteers visit asylum seekers in detention.
